Characteristic of DFM ZANAM-LEGMET’s Foundry
DFM ZANAM-LEGMET's Foundry produces cast-iron and cast-steel castings. The manufacturing profile covers approximately 2 000 types of products each year. So huge volume of offered products let us meet expectations, requirements and needs of each, even small and individual customer. Wide range of materials used for castings production helps us to reach this target.
From the beginning of its existence, the Foundry produces mainly cast-steel castings. For the last few years, production structure has been shaped in such a way that about 85% of it consists of cast-steel castings and remaining part of cast-iron castings (mainly ductile). Casting moulds are made using two methods - 60% of them are handmade and remaining 40% are machine-molded. Cast-steel castingsIn our wide offer, there are app. 30 types of cast steels used for production of castings. Those are: construction-carbon cast steels, alloy cast steels, cast steels for hardening and solution with higher durability and abrasion-resistance, produced according to National and European standards. Also the weight range of produced castings is very wide. Depending on the amount and molding type it is as follows:
All cast steel castings are heat treated in the modern and fully automatic furnaces (standardization, annealing, solution heat treatment, hardening and tempering, others). Higher and higher customers' requirements and searching for better materials (durability, abrasion resistance) made Foundry specialize in the production of such castings. Produced from medium and high-alloyed cast steels, heat treated castings accounts currently for 75% of all cast steel castings.
Cast-iron castingsIn the Foundry's offer, there are also grey and ductile cast iron castings mentioned in both national and European standards. Technology of production in electric-arc furnaces let us gain metal of highest quality, requested chemical composition, characteristics and structure, that will satisfy even the most demanding customer. The weight range of produced cast iron castings is also very wide. Depending on the amount and molding type it is as follows:
